The constricting or relaxing effects of various drugs on isolated organs (e.g. vas deferens, stomach, colon) can be measured in 8 organ baths simultaneously. The method is useful to determine concentration-response relationships, to measure and compare the potencies and efficacies of various drugs, or to analyze agonist-antagonist interactions.
